I think I have hit on a pretty good chum recipe .Ingredients are as follows:
- 1 Empty soda bottle (20 oz.)
- Blood from 2 tubs chicken livers
- Salt
- Pinch of garlic
- 2 beef bouillon cubes
- Cotton balls
First stuff enough cotton balls in the bottle to make them loosely filled. Then add the rest of the ingredients. I let mine sit in the sun for a couple of hours. I live in Texas so it doesn't take long before it starts smellin' real good. When you get to your fishin' hole cut a couple small holes in the bottle before you throw it out. Don't forget to tie a rope around it so you can haul it back in at the end of the day or night. Try your own variations on it. Good Luck!!! (You shouldn't really need any though...)
