Ingredients-
- 2 lbs./cartons Chicken Liver
- 1 Sardine
- 1 Can of sweet corn
- 2 Cloves of garlic
- 5-6 Cups of flour
- 1 medium sized Tupperware bowl with lid
- 1 Old Nylon stocking
Directions:
- Take the chicken liver and cut all of the livers into very small pieces (the smaller the better) and place into the bowl with all the blood from the carton.
- Then cut up the sardine into penny sized chunks (just throw the head away) and then add this into the bowl.
- Then take the can of SWEET corn and dump it over the sardine and livers.
- Then take the two cloves of garlic and mince them and add to the bowl. Now mix it all thoroughly.
- Now I suggest you go into the backyard and add the flour to the mixture and mix (with hands).
- After you used about 5 cups of flour in the mixture take the rest of the flour and dump it on the table you are kneading the dough bait on.
- Next, you want to knead the doughy mixture for about 10 minutes and it should be pretty consistent. If the bait is sticky then just add more flour until it stops sticking to your hands.
- Now take little chunks of the dough and roll into balls no bigger than a golf ball (do this until all of it is done). Put all of the balls into the container again and cover the container with plastic wrap and then the lid so it doesn't stink and put the container into the ZER.
Once they are all frozen take the bait out and wrap one by one in the nylon stocking (do this so the bait won't fall apart or come off the hook). When your done just put them back in the container and then take your second carton of chicken livers and blend in a blender with all the blood in the carton and dump over the nylon covered dough bait so it marinates. Now take the amount of balls you need for your trip and leave it in the sun for a couple hours to thaw and stink. Now your ready to fish.
This recipe takes a while but it is worth it. I always catch at least one blue cat within the first 45 minutes. And if you don't then there probably aren't any around ;). Happy Fishing.
